Students will be tested on all material covered from the beginning to the end. Once a unit is completed, it is important that students to continue to review their notes and assignments.
Where in the World Is Mr. Castor?
A year long trek across the globe.
Students receive daily clues to try and determine where in the world Mr. Castor is. Get it correct and earn tickets for quarterly drawings. The winner of the quarterly drawing will receive the extremely rare prize of extra credit points towards social studies. Additionally, students may write a report (guidelines provided in class), for additional tickets, about any of the stops Mr. Castor has made on his journey through the world.
World Geography and Lakes
In our first unit, students will learn about lines of latitude and longitude, time zones, and climate zones, and finally the lakes of the world.
