We studied Claude Monet's Water Lilies and the Impressionist style of art.  Above are the oil pastel and watercolor paintings and below are some on the tissue paper water lilies. 

In our last art class of the summer we looked at the Post-Impressionist era or art.  We studied how to add movement into our art.  First we looked at Jackson Pollock's splatter art.

Then we looked at the purposeful brush strokes of Van Gogh in  Starry Night.  Our artists created their own Colorado Starry Night while focusing on the marks they made.
