Why do we participate in fundraisers?
CCA PTO has been able to do some wonderful things for the school by using money raised during our fundraisers. The PTO helped purchase a reading program for the school and is paying for the 20 new laptops in the computer room. Not only does the PTO provide supplies for the lunchroom; such as forks, spoons, paper plates, cups, napkins, and oatmeal for students who forget to bring lunch, it also provides scholarships for students to go on field trips and attend summer school. The PTO provides funding for field day, student activities, requests made by teachers, and the end of year BBQ's in 2010 and 2011. In order to continue doing these great projects for the school, we need to participate in fundraisers. Some of the fundraisers in which we participate are listed below.
KING SOOPER'S GIFT CARDS
One of the best and easiest ways to raise money for the school is to use a King Sooper's Gift Card purchased through the school. King Soopers donates 5% of the money put on the cards, which are reloadable. If you are interested in purchasing a King Sooper's gift card, please contact Tricia Scoby at the school or send an email to pto@ccabennett.org.
COOKBOOKS
The PTO collected recipes from families and and made a cookbook containing 200 fabulous dishes. If you don't have one of these cookbooks, they are a definitely must have for any kitchen. They are $10 and can be purchased at the school.
SILENT AUCTION
Each year during Parent/Teacher Conferences, the PTO sponsors a silent auction to raise money for student activities and classroom supplies.
FALL FUNDRAISER
Each fall the school participates in a fundraiser through an outside company such as ABC, Believe, or Butterbraids.
BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION
Families save Box Tops and they are submitted twice per year in order to get money for them.
LABELS FOR EDUCATION
Families collect labels for education and the PTO will in turn receive points for them. These points have been used to purchase items for the R3 store.
COKE REWARDS
Families collect the Coke reward codes and the PTO will also receive points for them. You may enter the codes at www.mycokerewards.com and then donate your points to Corridor Community Academy, or you may turn your codes in to the office.
Tyson A+
Families collect Tyson A+ labels and the PTO will receive $.24 per label.
